NAUTITECH was founded in 1994. A significant innovation of NAUTITECH was the early conversion to the most modern infusion technology, which resulted in a significant improvement in the stability and reinforcement, along with a simultaneous reduction in weight. Today, modern catamarans characterised by maximum comfort and quality are manufactured in Rochefort, not too far from the Atlantic coast. The interiors and the furniture are, in fact, from Giebelstadt and are fit into the hulls in Rochefort.
NAUTITECH was founded in 1994 in Rochefort. While Rochefort is not located directly on the French Atlantic coast, but, rather, twenty kilometres inland, at River Charente, this historical city can nonetheless look back on a long tradition in boat manufacturing. Already in the 17th century, Louis XIV had his entire fleet built in the small township close to La Rochelle, thereby making France into a naval power.
In September 2014, BAVARIA took over the company located in Rochefort, and has since then actively spurred production expansion, the development of new models and extension of the service and dealer network.
In 2016, BAVARIA CATAMARANS launched the new NAUTITECH 46 OPEN and NAUTITECH 46 FLY on the global stage. Apart from the successful NAUTITECH 40 OPEN, the models, NAUTITECH 46 OPEN, NAUTITECH 46 FLY and NAUTITECH 54, also fill the order books of BAVARIA CATAMARANS to full capacity. The interiors of NAUTITECH 40 and NAUTITECH 46 are manufactured at the main plant of BAVARIA YACHTS in Giebelstadt, near Würzburg. The plans to expand the production activities in Rochefort are proceeding as planned.
Among the latest developments in BAVARIA CATAMARANS are the NAUTITECH 40 OPEN and the models NAUTITECH 46 OPEN and FLY, which were developed in collaboration with Marc Lombard, the specialist in serial production. Like other NAUTITECH models from the current range of BAVARIA CATAMARAN models, the innovative space utilisation concepts have been integrated into the new catamarans, creating excellent comfort, premium product quality as well as speed and safety as the salient sailing features.
